REVIEW // GIVEAWAY: About Time

This came in the mail.  I was beyond excited.  Even when I opened it up and realized most of the items weren't vegan, I was still excited.  My friend Christopher agreed to try the non-vegan stuff for me and help me review the brand.
In this box:
Whey Protein Isolate in Banana, Chocolate, Cinnamon Swirl, Mocha Mint & Vanilla
Vegan Protein in Vanilla & Chocolate
Fruit, Nuts & Protein Bars in Dark Chocolate Brownie, Island Coconut & Pecan Pie
Granola Clusters
AUX Pre Workout in Passion Fruit & Watermelon

About Time also gave me a 25% off coupon code for you to use: betheats

WHEY PROTEIN ISOLATE (as reviewed by Christopher):
In general, Christopher had the same thing to say about all of the powders.  He said they were good, but not overly sweet and not overly flavorful.  Almost bland, but not in a bad way.  He was very happy with the lack of an aftertaste he had come to expect with protein powders.  Overall, he said they were pretty good.  He was mixing them with milk in either a single serve blender or his Smartshake bottle.  I'm mostly impressed with the macros on this for a whey protein.  A lot of the whey proteins I see on the market seem unnecessarily high in carbs.  Maybe use less liquid if you want a stronger flavor?

VEGAN PROTEIN:When trying these protein flavors, I drank them mixed in with Almond Breeze Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk in a Blender Bottle.  I started with the chocolate one first, and actually found myself chugging it because it tasted so good.  I won't lie and say it tasted like a milkshake, but it was creamy and delicious and chocolate-y, so I'm very happy with the flavor.  It did have a slight "protein" after taste, but since it's a blend of pea, brown rice and pumpkin proteins, it wasn't bad.  It certainly wasn't anything like a soy protein after taste.

More importantly, I love the macros on this.  At 119 calories, this is definitely a great option for a protein powder for me.  Furthermore, the macros break down to a 23/7/70 for my 1,200 calories day.  Even with my almond milk, it's a 33/11/56 macro break down for me.  I'm shooting for 30/25/45, so this works well for me.

FRUIT, NUTS AND PROTEIN BARS (as reviewed by Christopher):
Christopher was actually suprised when I asked him how he liked the "protein bars."  He had found them so tasty he didn't realize they were a protein bar.  He thought they were just a regular meal bar.  Once I told them they had a decent protein serving in them, he said they were definitely delicious for a protein bar, and better than what he was eating before.

GRANOLA CLUSTERS (as reviewed by Christopher):
Christopher said these were his favorite of all of the items I asked him to review.  I asked him how they compared to other granola he's had, and he said these were better than what he was used to.  I'm impressed with them because their equal in the amount of protein and carbs they have, and most granola mixes are incredibly high in carbs.

AUX PRE WORKOUT:
These were a little sweet for my taste, but they definitely got me amped up for my workout, and I definitely feel like I burned more calories.  I felt like my body was running at a higher temperature and that I was sweating a lot more.  It was intense, but in a good way.  I wasn't crazy about either flavor I tried.  Both were a little too kool-aid for me, in that fake flavor kind of way.  People who love smart water, and other flavored waters would love the taste of these.
